You don't? I certainly see Microsoft paying them instead of going through the lengthy and costly process of getting the patent invalidated. It's much easier and cheaper to just give them some money than it is to fight it. Our patent system is full of trolls because it is too easy to get a vague patent, and until this changes we are going to see lawsuits like this every time a company actually brings something successful to the market. Just the cost of doing business now.
Part of the reason I am willing to pay $60 for a game is that I know I can make at least some of it back when I sell it to a place like Gamestop. There is no way I would ever pay that much if I wasn't able to recoup some of that investment.
So since you have to enter it in every time you think it's never stored on Nintendo's servers? I would think they would need to keep records of the transactions even if they didn't store the data allowing you to make one click purchases.
I might give 'er a listen. Pantera is not the music I typically listen to, but I've always enjoyed Walk and Cowboys from Hell when I heard them on the radio. I'm sure I would enjoy more from them as well. :)
