Nintendo shuts down fan-made Pokemon MMO

That'd be awesome. In the mean time, if someone's thinking about starting their own PokeMMOn (Or DigiMMOn or any other franchise), you best be ready to throw out your work when the lawyers come a-ringin'.

We're international business people.

Well, we're international anyways. Our crew consists of Argentina, Mexico, Ireland, Germany, India, U.K., Canada, Australia, Brazil, and a couple of kids from USA too.

And I probably missed a country or five. I don't know the countries of all the people who have worked on the project.

Server's Canadian though.

Fact is, we woke up, we're not touching Pokemon ever again.

@Aristokrat

It wasn't our intention, but yeah, we're going to work on something new and fresh.

We're using the C&D as somewhat of a "Wake up call", and think other Pokemon MMO Devs should 'Wake up' as well, and try to create something new and unique.

@Brian Would you be willing to go to court to find out if they do have the right to the domain or not?

We are.

You're kidding right? The reason we got into making an MMO is that Nintendo's Online Service is horrible and mediocre.

Their idea of an MMO would limit players to up to 3 predetermined phrases (If any!), you'd have to select your username from a list of pre-approved usernames, and would require inputting 64 digit hex codes to enable trading and battling with someone.

Thanks Aristo, but we knew it was doomed from the start.

We got a game engine out of it, a number of artists, mappers and story line writers. And a huge community of translators and players.

We'll see what we can do with our resources now.

That's the same thing we're wondering ourselves. We're going to fight to keep it.

Who's that Pokemon? It's Zoroark!
