JXC, I agree, I'm not stating that Nintendo should have made a different console, just more quality titles for that console, and the future ramifications of the crappy games.

I'm not sure how I feel about this because it's great to a game company reinvent itself and the way games are played, constantly innovating leading the industry, but on the other hand what kind of game industry are we left with when you look long term?

If too many people get burned by crappy Wii games that means they won't take the chance on any games in the future, burning the bridge to that is made to reach them in the first place. At the same time the big N has acknowledged that they are ignoring the die-hard fanbase who bought gamecubes.

We are left with an industry of short attention spanned users who won't know what a quality title is because they are so used to swimming in the fecal matter that is the current 3rd party games produced for the Wii.

Great news at a terrible price.
