Games make kids fat, nympho chain-smoking alcoholics
Apr 5th 2006 11:40PM (Joystiq)Download Oblivion's horse armor, for a price
Apr 4th 2006 9:14AM (Joystiq)I had 200 credits and nothing to do with them, so I just dropped it on this horse armor. I suppose the worst part about it is how the "quest" is implemented. Basically, you're suddenly given a piece of paper about the armor and told to go all the way to a certain stable, where this orc woman equips it for you (and it's only free the first time, it's 500 gold afterwards). She thanks you for "helping" her. The whole process really just feels half-assed compared to the detail in the rest of the game.

Feb 19th 2006 10:33AM (Joystiq)In any case, I'm glad someone came in here and explained the context of the book more. Still, I suppose I cannot really know how effective or not effective this ad was when we don't have any sales numbers for that specific period of time... Not to mention the fact that there were likely several Play It Loud style ads on at the same time and a few people in here have mentioned the commercial was different from how this book describes.
"Vile" is still a strange word to use for what essentially means "a failed commercial that didn't entice any one into buying the product". And even if I take it that way, I still feel like I've seen worse lol.

F.E.A.R. coming to the Xbox 360?
Feb 11th 2006 2:05PM (Joystiq)The firefights were damn cool though, regardless of how few enemy types there were. The game really shined in that regard.
