Say what you will about gaming on the iphone/ipod touch, but people seem quite happy to download games with no physical medium to speak of. And they do it a lot. so sell hardware at the right price, and give them a massive library of content to download (bundle several games for free that require downloading to help train them) and I think you'll have something that people will want. Perhaps a nice PSP2 with a right analog stick with a large online library launch will help things...
rather than hardware changes, I would prefer that software developers commit to re-releasing PS2 games with a bit better graphics for the PS3, similar to the God of War series coming out soon. Sure, it's nice that Blu Ray players play regular DVD's, but who wouldn't rather have the Blu-Ray format, given a choice? Shadow of the Colossus should certainly be re-released, upscale the graphics, maybe a 20 dollar price point. Since the game has already made it's money back, why not? Give us some old content, bargain bin pricing. (or release it for downloads on PSN)
