That was amazing, gave me chills...

Being of the generation that ushered in the video game era, that "commercial" was more than just a nice summation of Mario. My whole life in a Mario timeline just flashed by there. It wasn't just seeing the games. It brought back all the memories of playing the Marios for the first time, at each phase and the friends and family I was with, the sleepovers, the birthdays, the Christmases, old girlfriends, college, the times around me, culminating with Galaxy being a Christmas present from my wife-to-be along with a Nintendo Wii mere days after we got engaged... that little plumber and I have been through a lot together.

Disney not approving those concepts is very lame. Walt was willing to take risks and experiment with things a little darker with his company. Night on Bald Mountain is a testament to this. I think if Walt were still around, we'd have seen the concept work in the game, no matter what platform it was on.
