Court awards $16.5m in 'Hold Your Wee for a Wii' radio stunt death
Oct 30th 2009 11:05AM (Joystiq)Where are the editors and the banning? Seriously I've seen more banning on an article concerning Jade Raymond then I have on here.
I'm all for freedom of speech and what not, but do we really need to be debating whether or not this woman was right/wrong?
It sounds to me like the court made that decision so end of story. All that is happening now in the comments section is a bunch of idiots looking to poke a fire. Sure we can downvote them into oblivion, but I think it would be better if we just turned of the comments, I think the article and the ruling by the judge are comment enough.
Let the idiots save their moronic comments for the next article on sales figures or dumb comment made by (insert video game ceo here)

Sep 17th 2009 2:19PM (Joystiq)Completely ancedotal evidence, but anywhere I got shopping for vinyls I can always find at least two copies of Thriller in very good condition, but it's very rare I come across a Beatles album not to mention in good condition. In fact the cheapest Beatles album I ever bought was "Hey Jude" which isn't even a "true" Beatles album, and that was 12 bucks in ok condition. But I own several copies of Thriller that are even unopened, that I got for around 2-3 dollars. (Granted this was before MJ's death and the arbitray increase in price of anything MJ related)

Sep 16th 2009 1:50PM (Joystiq)Pink Floyd may not have as many quick catchy radio hits as Pink Floyd. But just think of what they could do with their music and the dreamscapes like they did with the beatles. I can only imagine the awesome types of stuff they could do with songs like Another Brick in the Wall or Money. If they really wanted to tip the scales of awesomeness they could even take Wizard of Oz characters and do some awesome crap with Dark Side of the Moon because a lot of teh wizard of oz stuff is in public domain now.
Suffice to say, I would fully support any band game out there that is made and treated with the same care that they did the beatles. The only thing I would want to see more of, is more behind the scenes type stuff, a lot more videos, even throwing on documentarys etc.
I don't think anyone out there can honestly make a comparison to the band games guitar hero has published so far, and The Rock Band Beatles game. Granted Harmonix did do AC/DC but lets be honest, that was the only way they could get AC/DC to go along with dlc for Rock Band 2. I doubt anyone held on to that disc once they imported it over to RB2. But the Beatles game on the other hand that was an awesome product.
Put it this way after seeing how the Beatles game came out, if I were in a popular band, I would never want anything less then the Beatles treatment to a music game involving my music.
