UK retailer offers Zelda: Spirit Tracks collector's tin

Oct 20th 2009 6:23AM (Joystiq)
It's not a Darknut, it's a Phantom, they patrolled the Temple of the Ocean King in PH. The exact same Link figure was also in that gashapon set, except it came with the eponymous hourglass that I'm guessing won't come with the tin. There were also figures of Linebeck, Tetra and the chief and baby Goron.

World of Goo on sale for 'your' price; iPhone port coming

Well there's no platforming in it for a start. Gameplay wise, you just stick goo balls together to make a tower to reach the end of level pipe, but as with all the best puzzle games, the lengths it goes to with just one simple mechanic is what makes it. As one of the levels is subtitled: "It's not a bug, it's a feature!"

Super Mario's Wacky Worlds should have stayed buried

He's a Geordie, that is he's from Newcastle. Or possibly Sunderland, I've never been good at telling the difference, but that neck of the woods, anyway. His voice didn't sound bad to me, I mean, that's what Geordies sound like.

Nintendo Power teases DSiWare announcement

Aug 28th 2009 10:21AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I'm going to dare to dream that it's a DS Okami sequel. That might sounds far fetched, but IGN are reporting that the next issue of Famitsu will have info on something being called "Okamiden", the Kanji of which apparently suggests that it a sequel. It would also make sense for such a game to be on DS, with the stylus in place of the brush, as well as it not being a massively successful console game.

Flipnote Studio moving to Europe this Friday [Update: it's out in North America right now!]

Aug 12th 2009 2:31PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
America did get Mario vs. Donkey Kong way earlier than we will though, that being pretty much the only full sized game worth getting on DSi ware (Picopict's fun, but it's a tad on the small side).

3-in-1 Wii controller adapter now a 2-in-1, coming out in September

This guy's been making N64 to GC adapter cables for ages now:
http://www.raphnet-tech.com/products/n64_to_wii/index.php?category=

It even supports the rumble pack on games with GC pad rumble (i.e. not VC games). There's a guide on his website on how to make one yourself if you're DIY minded.

It works well for SNES VC games too, since the A, B, down C and left C can substitute for A, B, X, and Y.

If the people who want these ports are to be believed, The Wii IS last gen, anyway!
