Wine 1.3.11 released, improves JavaScript performance and localization, fixes MS Hearts bug

@Sebastian Anthony I believe Steam also uses the Trident (IE) rendering engine, and I know for certain that some of Steam's store pages can bring many systems to a crawl (thanks Intel Atom...). Definitely a welcome update!

Stormrise only supports DirectX 10, is Vista-exclusive

Probably about seven or so, considering the game itself looks pretty half-assed.

When will developers realize that graphics aren't everything and they should move back to when games were actually *gasp* fun to play?

Windows 7 is supposed to ship with DirectX 11, if I'm not mistaken (the beta builds have been showing this under DXDiag for a while now). DirectX is backwards compatible, so this will run in Windows 7 as well.

And Codex is right, there's nothing wrong with Vista.

Prince of Persia 'Epilogue' DLC not coming to PC

I don't even believe in this whole piracy ordeal either. It would cost them nothing, absolutely nothing, to release this on PC as the content itself is created on... *drumroll* a PC! Sure, there's going to be people out there who pirate the extra content, but they're not even giving any thought to those who would legitimately purchase what they have to offer. Also, unlike the 360 and PS3, the content is natively developed on the PC and doesn't have to go through strict error-checking (Microsoft) or a conversion for, from a developer's point of view, inconvenient to develop for hardware (PS3's Cell processor). It's all right there, waiting for them to release it.

Great job Ubi, keep up the poor decision making!

Prince of Persia 'Epilogue' DLC not coming to PC

On behalf of other game developers who are following the same trend of backstabbing highway robbery, Ubisoft would like to release this memo to all PC gamers:

We appreciate your dedication to our companies for far longer than home video game consoles existed. In order to repay you with our thanks, please bend right over and grasp your ankles firmly. Don't bother pulling down your pants, we'll rip straight through them in our unjustified quest to brutally sodomize you. We made sure to think of protection as well--each of us will make sure to equip ourselves with 40-grit sandpaper condoms before sticking it to you gamers yet once more. As if you weren't angry enough that our free upgrade to a Collector's Edition applied exclusively to the console editions (any upgrade to a Collector's Edition was exclusively console-bound), we've also decided to restrict the full version of the game itself to just consoles as well. You guys don't care about how the game ends, right?
