Valve will release Dead Air early ... if 20K people unlock this Left 4 Dead 2 achievement

Jul 6th 2011 9:55PM (Joystiq)
@ArcaneAmoeba not true. I played it earlier this afternoon in single player and it gave me the achievement

Get Shank'd in the Xbox Live Deal of the Week

Nov 15th 2010 4:31PM (Joystiq)
@Chazzr Really, what beat em up game isn't short and repetitive? At 4-5 hours, it's actually lengthier than most games in this genre. The combat is also relatively deep and varied. Hell, they even threw in some platforming to mix things up. I'm not sure what more you could really expect out of an arcade style beat em up. I would say it's a must buy for 800MSP if you're into these kind of games.

XBLA in Brief: Plants vs Zombies, Dance! It's Your Stage

Sep 8th 2010 4:20PM (Joystiq)
@MICHAEL ATKINSON
I'd have no problem paying 1200 if I could play with friends online. As it stands though, I see it as the same game I already bought for 9.99 on steam, but with inferior controls.

XBLA in Brief: Plants vs Zombies, Dance! It's Your Stage

I was so stoked for PvZ online multiplayer only to find it's local only. I felt Shank and Scott Pilgrim lost so much potential by not having online co-op, but I bought them anyway because they were new games I wanted to play. This game is over a year old now and most people already own it on another platform. I see no justification for buying the XBLA version now, especially at 1200 points.

Symphony of the Night, easily.

Review: Castlevania: Harmony of Despair

Aug 4th 2010 2:11PM (Joystiq)
This was by far my most anticipated Summer of Arcade game, and I'm so disappointed to find out it's nothing more than a time attack mode. Guess I'm saving my points for Scott Pilgrim/Shank later this month...

GameStop lists November 3 release, $100 price for Xbox 360 Wireless N adapter

Oct 5th 2009 2:34PM (Joystiq)
I wouldn't spend more than $50 on a wireless adapter, and even then I wouldn't be thrilled about it. $100 is insulting, especially when it's a standard feature on every other console out right now. Until it becomes a realistic option, I'll continue to use my laptop as a wireless access point. It may be a ghetto setup, but it's free and works well.

First details of Earthworm Jim remake unearthed

Sep 30th 2009 12:13AM (Joystiq)
I owned the SNES version and it was a great game for its time, but I have 0 interest in a remake. If I'm ever looking to take a nostalgia trip, I'd prefer the original 16 bit graphics anyway. Make a new game (that doesn't suck), then we'll talk.

BioShock 2's plasmid-packed multiplayer trailer makes a splash

Sep 4th 2009 7:33PM (Joystiq)
it really blows my mind that there are so many people saying they DON'T want a sequel to one of the most well received games of this generation. I have no doubt that this game will be nothing short of amazing, but hey, nobody's forcing you to buy it or play its multiplayer so why all the hate?

XBLM Deal of the Week: Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix

Jun 22nd 2009 5:05PM (Joystiq)
I felt this game was a great value when I bought it last year for $15, but then SFIV changed everything and I haven't touched it since. Not sure if it's worth the $10 now unless you're a diehard Super Turbo fan. If not, you might want to save that money for Marvel instead.
