Gamecock acquisition goes south - vendors accuse SouthPeak of not paying up

So no happy ending for the gamecock?

Sorry... I had to.

Out with the old

Aug 5th 2009 6:18PM (WoW)
@bob: I agree, although there are *some* Northrend quests that send you to old Azeroth (one in Sholazar Basin that sends you to Un'Goro and the Black Knight chain from the Argent Tournament sends you to Westfall). Plus there are the holiday events like Brewfest that even have you entering old dungeons.

But it is sad the state of decay that a lot of the old content is in. I'm really hoping for the fabled "Emerald Dream" content (maybe part of the Maelstrom expansion?) to activate all those old portals in all-but-forgotten zones. Or what about the Titan city in Tanaris? Or many other examples of stuff that was meant to be in the game from the beginning.

And I've always wanted a warlock Dreadgryphon or something along those lines. Or how about race specific flying mounts? Mechanogryphon anyone??? (at least I have my flying rug.)

Will there be Macs in the year 2010?

Mar 8th 2006 5:18PM (TUAW.com)
Wheels, well written comment! Apple's control over "the whole package" is what makes Macs so nice.

While Vista may be a great improvement over XP—and they surely need such a thing—saying something like "Vista's Mac-like niceties" is just... no. Windows has a long way to go before it has any "Mac-like niceties" IMHO.

Metroid Prime Hunters: Do we still care?

Then don't play the demo so much, silly. ;p

I'm hyped about it! It's been long enough since I played MP2 and I'm hungry for more Samus! (that comment could be construed to mean something else, heh)

Survey: What was your first Apple product?

Jan 4th 2006 8:17PM (TUAW.com)
My grandparents bought, mostly for me to use, a Mac IIvx with a little 13" Apple monitor. Later upgraded the RAM (to 8 MB?) and added a CD-ROM drive. That was awesome, I played Escape Velocity on it. ;)

Later I got my own Performa 6240CD (educational bundle with 14" Apple display and Color StyleWriter 2400 or something), 75MHz PPC 603e, 1GB HDD, upgraded the RAM in it more than once, to 128MB I think. That was awesome, I played Escape Velocity Override on it. ;)

Then my "B&W" G3/400Mhz with DVD drive and 17" Apple display. In 2002 got my Titanium 15" PowerBook G4/800Mhz/DVI along with the first gen Apple iPod 10GB version (I've since had an iPod mini and now I have a 1GB Shuffle). It's awesome, I played Escape Velocity Nova on it (I've lost interest in those games, though I hold them in high regard).

I'm waiting for news of the first Intel Macs before I decided when I should upgrade. Always-forever a Mac user.

Electroplankton at Target next month

Dec 27th 2005 5:13PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I won't be buying it unless I can use the $30 GameStop credit I got when I bought a new DS+game, so if it's only at Nintendo.com or Target...

Lemon DS games

Dec 13th 2005 4:18PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Nintendo's portables seem to be the target of game publishers (not developers) for releasing terrible, awful games and things (anyone see those GBA "videos" at Costco and such?) to make a quick buck from consumers who don't know better. It's hard to believe any profit can be made with how terrible some of the titles out there are, but they probably spent so little on development to begin with.

POLL: What's the best Nintendo DS game of all time?

Dec 12th 2005 10:12PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Is there even any question that Mario Kart is the best? Even when MP Hunters comes out, I suspect MK with reign supreme forever (in my world at least).
