No going around shooting everybody in sight. Just good old gumshoe stuff.
Crystal Dynamics on recreating Lara Croft
Dec 9th 2010 9:33PM (Joystiq)The only similarity is that they are both adventurers. But the gameplay is totally different. Uncharted is just a shooter, that's it. A very good third person shooter series. Meanwhile Tomb Raider has always been about platforming and solving puzzles...:/

Anniversary was a good game as was Legend. Underworld wasn't bad either (and looked pretty good too). And that PSN/XBLA game was really really fun. Some good coop puzzles.

Dec 6th 2010 2:01PM (Joystiq)Nathan Drake is just another wannabe though. I like Uncharted games but they are nothing like Tomb Raider. They are pretty much just really good third person shooters.
While Tomb Raider has always been about puzzles and platforming with clunky combat, if they fix the combat they're set. And Guardian of Light was awesome.
