You asked "What is so special about this game?" Then named a paragraph's worth of examples why it is special; then dashed it all away because you don't think the platforming is that great.

Great article. Pinchbeck sums up the tone of Amnesia's plot perfectly.

Plus I'm glad to see they are changing the formula a bit. About halfway through Amnesia, I began to notice a pattern to monster events. The tone and plot were still very scary, but I figured out a way to play that kept me relatively out of danger for the rest of the game.

Wait.. Alan Wake came out less than 2 years ago. If you haven't played that, why are you dusting off the 360 for a sequel?

I know what you're getting at though. This will be the first time I'll be buying a game for xbox since Shadows of The Damned.
