windex has it right; I'll pay newstand price for a single issue, and a small ($2-$7) markup on an annual subscription if there is *additional* content in the digital version. Nothing more, and I expect to have all purchased content reside within a single application icon.

I see myself with 1350 gamerscore in Fable 2.

I'll chime in here as well; it's way too expensive. I'd only consider it if all the games were available for 800-1600 points.

Actually labrats5, I think it's more likely that Paystar was set up by one or more traditional PC makers (Dell, HP, etc.) to test the waters and get a ruling. IANAL, I think there's a case here (albeit a weak one); Apple does sell OS X as a boxed retail package. Apple will probably win, but I hope it doesn't set too much of a precedent supporting EULAs in general.

I just don't think there's room for two gamer-focused west coast conventions, and given the choice between PAX and EforAll, I'll take PAX every time. "By gamers for gamers" beats "Corporate media conglomerate trying to make a buck." The Penny arcade guys do just one conference (not 750), and they obviously care about the subject.
