Anyway I agree with what you're saying about scenes being interactive. Half-Life 2 is one of my all time favourites. And it adds to the immersion being first person. It doesn't mean all games should be like it though.

But the story is still linear and doesn't really give players much of a choice when it comes to story outcomes. Quick time events (Ah whenever I hear that I still think of the media player!) do generally give a much more cinematic and dramatic feel and more choice. Than say fighting in third person and then having a cutscene with either him or you dying.

We should make our own little NZ group on Joystiq!

I kinda enjoyed Runaway. Never finished it though... some of those puzzles are just mind bogglingly impossible.

Wallace and Gromit for XBLA sounds awesome. Just the fact that you can walk around with the analog stick (from what I made from the interview) will make it seem just that more immersive.
