WarioWare Snapped! and our inability to play it [update]

Apr 7th 2009 1:44PM (Joystiq)
It worked fine for me at home, but would not work in an office building. I think the fluorescent overhead lighting makes it difficult for the DSi to differentiate between the subject and the background. Does it work better for anyone else, when you are in a room where there is more light shining on your face than on the walls/ceiling behind you?

Canon ships 100 million compact digital cameras, 90 million of them broken with E18 lens errors

Aug 19th 2008 6:12PM (Engadget)
I've had the PowerShot S100, S400, and SD700 IS. The S100 developed a stuck red pixel in the sensor (all photos had a red pixel near the center of the image), I dented the metal around the lens on the S400 which prevented the lens cover from opening (it worked once I bent the metal back out with a tiny screwdriver, but I still replaced it) and the SD700 IS is still great except for a few scratches on the case. Each time I've been very happy with the newer model, so I don't mind needing to replace the camera every 3 years or so. I don't expect the cameras to last forever when I carry them around in my pocket all the time and it sure is convenient not having to carry a camera bag around with me on vacations. I'm hoping the next model I buy will be able to record 720p or 1080i/p video, in addition to the great photos that all the previous cameras have taken.
