Knowing that this is a time-limited thing makes me want to go get one now, sort of ($99 Touchpad conditioning at work!). When a Kinect sensor alone is $150, this makes some degree of sense, even for a guy who doesn't really *need* another Xbox...

But I will probably just find a refurb/open box Kinect somewhere instead; no matter how much I like the design of the new consoles (and I do, very much)-- it sill plays the same games and does the same stuff as my old Elite.

@foxhound But this looks like it also comes with the Kinect sensor, making it a good deal for those of us wanting to play Sesame Street with the kids...

Can you really be considered "naked" if you skin sloughs off, too?

This game still kind of looks like poodoo, unfortunately, and that is coming from a huge SW nerd.

Ah, wishful thinking. While I am at it, standing behind him are about a dozen or so pasty kids who have pissed me off on XBL. Man I wish I could meet some of these dudes IRL. I would get all my anger issues worked out in about 7 minutes of extreme, glorious violence.

@drust get out of here with that Newton jive. It was forward-looking to be sure, just not useful enough to achieve the wide adoption (and creation of a new market segment) that the Treo did. If we're going there we might as well start handing out all kinds of credit starting with the Star-TAC.

@dogma Word! Where's my task syncing? Direct Outlook sync (with notes!!!)-- why do I have to use Google if I don't have Exchange? How can I not search my notes for chrissakes? Yeah I got gripes. But I had 'em about every Treo I ever had as well and still got a lot done with 'em.

My Pre is slick and patching makes it waaaaaay more tolerable but I feel like Palm lost its way a little bit chasing the shiny so much. I'd much rather have a more solid PIM foundation and a little less of the whole Zen vibe.

@tweak I feel you man. I have/had all that and a minidisc player too. Some of us are just lightning rods for that kind of stuff I guess.

Makes me wonder about other choices I have made...
