Digsby responds to claims of shady money-making tactics

Aug 14th 2009 10:38AM (Download Squad)
That's odd, because I must have seen it and opted out during the install, since it was disabled on my computer and I didn't do the most thorough job of reading the installer, but I do check anything where I have an option. The lifehacker post made it seem like it was just enabled unless you went in later and disabled it which wasn't the case.

The Closer: Smells Like Murder

Aug 13th 2009 10:07PM (AOL TV)
Brenda Lee not realizing that she was eating weed brownies was completely unbelievable and blew the episode. She's this great investigator but can't tell when brownies have an extra ingredient, or when she's high herself? Nah. Leave some BS like that for a show like CSI or NCIS, not The Closer.

They've made the female agent completely unlikeable, and constant bickering between the agents is more like listening to kids fight than anything approaching enjoyable banter. Haven't these people ever seen a buddy cop tv show or movie before?

Poll: Will you ever use On Demand Online?

Jul 19th 2009 6:42PM (Engadget HD)
If you read further down in the Dallas News article, it mentions that restriction is going to be removed later on in the testing. The 5,000 person test is mostly so they can sort out the authentication. Just like the press release or this posting on their blog http://www.comcastvoices.com/2009/06/on-demand-online-and-tv-everywhere.html (third bullet point) the point since they've announced it is to let you watch it anywhere, not just at home. Whether the beta will launch that way or not we'll have to wait and see.

Poll: Will you ever use On Demand Online?

I don't know why you think that is the case, but you're 100% wrong. The whole point of TV "Anywhere" is that you cna use it "anywhere."

Anywhere.

Like, not at home.

UK Blu-ray sales up 231% over last year

Jul 4th 2009 3:02PM (Engadget HD)
If you think EHD is "promoting" any goal, you're mistaken. The article does not say downloads are going to take over for Blu-ray, there is absolutely no context that makes that appear to be so,
