They should just have a discreet sensor or just use the front camera in a low power context to detect where the users eyes are in relation to the orientation of the screen. You can therefore get an instant 3d effect on phones by adjusting the image with front cameras and accelerometers/gyros.
I think someone should go down that route. It would have better viewing angles anyway.
Microsoft really know how to confuse issues. What is the reason for changing the name? Also all those tablets are running on atoms (x86). Why not at least have some running on ARM - which would produce slimmer machines - seeing as CE supports both x86 and ARM.
Seeing all those atom machine just makes people think this is just a stripped down version of full fat windows 7.

This why apple doesn't want flash or want CS5 to be able to produce apps. If you make it easy for devs to produce cross platform apps then they will and then apple lose their advantage.
MS have been talking up 3 screens strategy for ages now and then let others just walk in and take mobile. If Apple do this right then they might take a good chunk of tv as well from xbox and ps3.
