GRID screens and box art skid online

Mar 19th 2008 12:44PM (Joystiq Xbox)
I just got done playing an hour's worth of DiRT. If the visual tearing is fixed, sounds like Codemasters could have another great racing title on their hands. While the screens are nice, I have my reservations until I get to see it in action.

Assault Heroes is totally worth the 5 bucks. You waste more everyday on junk food.

Your parents must really hate you "Jaeson". Just like your chromosomes, you got one too many letters in your name too.

It's a shame they're playing MLB 2k8 on this tour, taking 10 minutes having to explain the controls to every 10 year old would be horrifying.

Minter's pissed, Frogger outsells Space Giraffe

Nov 23rd 2007 7:24PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Mr Minter,

Let me tell you what I want out of an Xbox Live arcade game. I want an experience that does not suck. I want not only a visual experience but a time-worthy experience that satisfies my sense of accomplishment, without giving me a splitting headache as if I was given the wrong brownies.

Your game sucked. It was terrible. It was a shallow experience that lacked a solid visual style that consumers could understand as well as any comprehensible gameplay that made any type of sense whatsoever.

If you have a game that doesn't sell, it's not because people don't like you (well that was the case THEN), it's because you've created a game that people don't like. Don't take it out on the community because you failed, in your eyes.

Is frogger a better game than Space Giraffe? You bet it is. In fact, Yaris was at least a game I could play for 3 minutes without getting a headache.

From here you have two choices. Either come back with a better title that's playable, or do us all a favor and stop making games. It's a win-win for everyone.

Thanks,
Mordeux

Fanswag Weekly: Live turns five mega giveaway [update]

Nov 21st 2007 1:05PM (Joystiq Xbox)
The very first time I logged into Xbox Live on November 15th, 2002. I had Unreal Championship in the tray and I distinctly remember joining a team deathmatch game and just sitting in awe as I saw people moving on screen, and hearing them in my headset. Everyone had the same reaction that day, and it went something like this:

"Hey, can anyone hear me?"
"Yeah dude we can hear you!"
"How cool is this??!"
"I know!! Where you from?"
