Keita Takahashi 'not completely satisfied' with Noby Noby Boy, blames budget

Oct 30th 2009 12:24AM (Joystiq)
i love noby noby boy. at one point in time i was ranked number 5 in the noby boy world. I don't play it much now but when i do go back to it, i can sit for a long time enjoying the music and strange creatures. i can't wait until we reach jupiter. i

i understand the game isn't for everyone, but it is fun. it's just sad that things have to have a point, a plot, a goal, an objective, for people to enjoy them. what ever happened to being a kid and not giving a crap about things making sense?

Joyswag: Nintendo DSi, Rhythm Heaven & accessories [update]

Apr 7th 2009 12:11AM (Joystiq)
I'd show it off to my girlfriend and we'd play rhythm heaven for a while. She saw an ad for it and thought it looked really cute. She's been wanting a DSi. I would probably end up showing it to my niece first instead since I'm with her 24/7. We'd play with new camera features. Then I'd play some brain age and rub my better brain age in my friends face, that jerk.

Scratch: The Ultimate DJ: The First Trailer

something i will never understand about these type of games, is why not just actually learn to play an instrument instead of pumping hours into pretending to know how to play one. someone gave the guy playing air guitar a plastic one and it became a hit. i've played the games, sure they're fun with a group of people, but i just think it'd be much more satisfying learning to actually play the songs on a real instrument.

PSN download charges proving unpopular among publishers

Mar 20th 2009 3:47PM (Joystiq)
Do I agree with them charging for the bandwith...um not really. But Sony really has been fronting the bill for a while, so what's the excuse for not having more content on the PSN before the charge came into action?
If you're afraid of how much it's going to affect your budget putting out content on the PSN, well make quality content that people are going to buy. If anything, this charge should make publishers really step up their game and not put out a crap product. Sure you can't please everyone, but you can please a good percentage that would sponge up the bandwith cost and make a profit.
I think it's great that Sony doesn't push the bill on its users. I'm not putting down 360 or anything, but $50 a year for using XBL seems a bit much. Aren't they already paying enough for the system and games? I'd be pretty upset paying for a new game and having some extra dollars tacked on just so I can play it online.
But it's like you guys said before, we're always going to find something to complain about..

10 seconds: the European Killzone 2 ad

Feb 17th 2009 4:23PM (Joystiq Playstation)
It's just an ad. Stop complaining about the damn thing. It's called setting a mood or tone. Why show off all the goods right away? Build some intrigue. Strippers don't get up on stage already naked, well most at least. They tease for a bit and once you fork over your singles, you get some tits in the face. It isn't like this is going to be the only ad they put out. They'll showcase the guns and violence later. I wouldn't say all the Sony ads have been flops or disappointments. A lot of work goes into making commercials, so unless you have stocks or are working for Sony, i don't think you guys have much to complain about. You know about the game and you probably already pre-ordered it. So explain to me what is truly so god awful about a 10 second ad.
