I can't wait for this game, wish I hadn't missed the kickstarter would have loved to have pitched in for this.

@(Unverified) Fiscal year varies by company. Some base it on Calendar Activision do not. A lot of game companies lump the end of the year "Holiday season" with the previous year and since those returns aren't usually all seen until February or March they usually start First quarter later in the year. Activision's first quarter ends March 31st (thanks google.)

Honestly after everything that was chopped out of the game I'm taking a wait and see. I'm not saying it'll be bad, I'm just cautious regarding quality as many of the "wow" features are now gone. Also I'm pretty sure Activision are going to try and monatize the PvP element. I may be wrong (god I hope I am) but I figure better to expect misery and be shocked by anything but.

I'm actually suprised at how many Canadians are involved in this game. We may have to all buy it in our legaly enforced Culture Ration.

What I don't understand is why all the hate on iOS yeah it sucks it didn't release on Android too, hopefully they'll bring it to the platform soon. I've got android and iOS devices in my house and they are both good enough. Thing is until there's a major seachange in devices the tablet market is dominated by the iPad so it's just cheaper and easier for EA to develop the app for the iOS devices (which has the carry over of working on the mobile phone as well.) Yeah it's a bummer but no need to call people names over it. And remember EA is a business, by law their board is held accountable in the United States to make a profit. They have to go where the money is.

it's brutal on an iPad (I'm guessing better on 2s and the upcoming 3s) the codex is okay but it's missing material from the new game. Neat enough I guess I'm only using it to build my readiness so I can launch that last assult. I blame more my iPad getting just long in the tooth even Infiltrator was rough on it.

@Wic And this smacks of trolling, you're just going out of your way to say something that other people like "sucks" you don't have to like SWTOR. That's your perogative just don't get up in people's faces about it. Honestly I've not seen a single thing about GW2 that interests me, it just isn't my bag. Is it bad? No, heck no, I'm sure it's good for it's target audience which doesn't include me. By being "GW2 is awesome and everyone is going to jump that crapbag SWTOR" you are just undermining your point by appearing contrarian and well frankly "fanboi"-ish.

@Wic Really? This patch hits like in the next two weeks. I'd be shocked to see Guildwars 2 ship before then. And here's a tip, not everyone likes Guildwars. There will be just as many detractors from GW2 as there are for Star Wars The Old Republic. Honestly, I don't think GW2 looks bad, it just doesn't look like my thing. I didn't like the first GW and there's nothing to really draw me to the second. I just wish people would be less "oh this is going to eat your lunch" about stuff. It really undermines gaming as a community and creates a stupid adversarial role between different members of the community.

I can't wait, I've been playing non-stop since release and only really broke to play Mass Effect. Now I'm working on building my Galactic Readiness I have time to return to the game (sitting in space hovering above Earth waiting until I get in the 90s to drop the hammer on those Reapers.) This sounds like it will give all the people who complained about features "missing" what they were looking for. My question is, since most of these people didn't actually care and were complaining to complain is what they'll complain about next.
