Can we get a source for the BYU comments besides the mysterious "Dave"? Or did you actually call up BYU yourselves and interview Prof. Ridge?

Yeah, Blizzard's constant pilfering of the mod community without even acknowledging all the hard work these guys have done has gotten old. Especially, considering how vapidly Blizzard lawyers will kick in your door if you even THINK about messing with/reverse engineering/modifying their game code. It's hypocryphal!
