first thing i noticed is that the game looked freaking great and the physics are cool. The tank thing pounds on those garbage bins, and they can even knock them over from the constant ammo barrage- nice!!! there goes yer cover!

looks pretty hardcore, and yes it seems straight shoot em up if u judge it off the first 10 mins.

but ill be damned if it aint pretty- - no goddamned brown and grey graphics here.

give it a try, i say. we already know halo and cod will blow this aint away, but that certainly dont mean its crap.

back to reality--

anyone who saw Lair at digital life like i did months ago, knew that this game was headed for "o.k.-dom". this game and war hawk sat on giant screens with no audience- literally. there are several tell tale signs that veteran gamers can look for if a game is any good- such as a general excitement level from its reviewers and developers, and a push of assets to the media. this game had none. warhawks media play was barely noticed. the biggest problem with these ps3 games is that these devs are focusing so hard on making good graphics, that there ends up being no story attached. with no story, a game is easily forgotten besides technical achievement. can any one tell me what the story for lair is? nope. we all know warhawk doesnt have one. no on even cares about killzones story. its a wartorn planet, time to shoot ta-da(helghast army still sounds cool though imho). yes halo is a shooter, but wow it actually has a story, and elements to attach yourself to, oh, and um, hot gameplay too.

my ps3 rocks tekken and memory card photos. ah well, maybe next year?
