Great apps based on great books. The commenters expecting the CD ROM version should have read the description in iTunes:

This is not the Broderbund / Living Books adaptation of "Just Grandma and Me" from the early 1990s. This is a new version developed using the original artwork from the book, with custom VO, music and sound effects. This version does not contain animations on every page in an effort to keep the app reasonably priced.

I work with glasses free Alioscopy displays and I can say the effect is mind blowing. To produce video for this particular display I work with, the footage has to be captured from 8 slightly different perspectives. I agree it's the future as well because once you see it you want all screens and content to be peripheral free 3D.

the one and only biches xD

Played for an hour last night and have to say it's very immersing, esp. for iPhone. Good value because the game is atmospheric, detailed and deep.
Pros: The user experience moving through the world and interacting w/ objects like flipping through journals and sliding levers works and gives he game a fresh feel. Sound design still strong.
Con: The graphics are a little compromised (water looks like a tarp)

the lost appeal has nothing to do with this, it has to do w/ paying a yearly fee for service that feels more and more like it should be free and no, silly games like this don't change my mind because I'm not mentally handicapped (that's the proper term)

Xbox Live Gold account is losing it's appeal for me.

you can hack anything Bob, but by the time USB 3.0 is rolls out on devices (2010) you might be ready to hand this off to a loved one for something even sleeker.
