Infinity Ward pulls 'Fight Against Grenade Spam' ad in light of backlash

Nov 1st 2009 8:07PM (Joystiq)
Wow, really disappointed in Infinity & Activision. I really expected more of such professional businesses than to act like a couple of back-woods douchebags.

Activision sues Double Fine over Brutal Legend

Jun 4th 2009 7:57PM (Joystiq)
You gotta love EA's response, but you can't marry someone who's still married to someone else. This is similar to the whole Warner Bros/Fox dispute over Watchmen. Bottom line is whether Activisions actions invalidated their contract with Brutal Legend. Just because they decided not to publish, if they hold the rights to publish, no one else should be able to. I would expect that EA had done their due diligence in reviewing the Activision contract, otherwise, they're morons.

Facebook Rejects Lesbian Film Ad

May 1st 2009 6:00PM (Switched)
This is my friend's film! Jill Bennett is great! Some people are uncomfortable with inter-racial relationships - should that be banned too? Unlike MySpace, everyone on Facebook is supposed to be an adult, so if you're too insecure or immature to handle this, go crawl back under a rock. Get over it. If not, you're giving my friend some free publicity.

Broken Steel DLC makes Fallout 3 endless on May 5

Apr 21st 2009 5:23PM (Joystiq)
Developers are probably not extending DLC to PS3 for two reasons. First, there are too few potential PS3 purchasers relative to the cost of work needed to create a PS3 version. Second, developers are further charged by Sony per download DLC based on the size of the file. This is because Sony's online service is free to console owners rather than the pay model that Microsoft has. Sony has a great piece of equipment in the PS3 but they took their core customer, the gamer, for granted. With the increasing availability of HD content for download or streaming, Blu Ray has not been the must-have item Sony had counted on. Hard media is going the way of the dinosaur.
