I'm not so sure about that. I had to use a console command to get past a broken quest in the mage guild yet I still managed to get the achievement for completing the mage guild questline later on.

Yeah the installer doesn't seem to work right for me for some reason. No levels install at all.

Honestly when I had this game for the Gamecube I never had a need to go online. The best part of it was the amazing 4-player couch co-op you could do with your buddies, which didn't cost a dime of subscription fees. When they release the sequel I'm hoping for some form of mode that doesn't cost anything extra. Like multiplayer with friends, without the whole MMO experience perhaps?

I was actually surprised when I found out that there was no penalty for rage quitting when I played SFIV and DJ Hero 2. I refuse to rage quit and that's all my opponents ever do so I've got an amazing 0 win, 30 loss record to brag about for my trouble in SFIV. Awesome. =/
