They're get their royalties or bonuses once the DLC is out the door. Activision can't afford to have half the staff quit because they're assholes before then.

I wasn't on when H3 was released, but I do know on Xmas that year and a few days afterward, Live was spotty.

But think about it: We've got two years of console sales and what may be one of the biggest releases of all time coming up. Sure they've expanded their infrastructure, but given events such as this Sky PLayer incident, I have no reason to expect they are adequately prepared.

If its common knowledge, then why are they announcing that fact? I appreciate the honesty, but it seems pointless.

Translation: "We don't realize that people will need an incentive to buy this instead of a regular 360 or Wii."

Also, announcing that a product that is still a year from release already has significant price drops planned for its future is downright bizarre.
