Nov 12th 2009 11:03PM (Joystiq)The real problem with the video was the Fox reporter's ridiculously biased argument. Jesus Christ, I'm not one of the bandwagon who goes along and says "FOX is for teh lulzz lolOL UNfairz and BIAS!!!1one," but rather I clearly see an unbalance in the Fox reporter's view.
I'm pretty fucking sure that stating that the game does "nothing to stop and 8 year old child from becoming a terrorist and shooting people".
To break that down real quick for you all: prerequisites for that to occur is that:
1.) The child/person needs to obtain a gun, and in situations like these 99.99 (repeating of course)% of the cases, the gun's origins are of the parents.
2.) The child/person needs something extra to entice him to kill, such as an illness, or something wrong with their life/school. A lot of times this is caused by bullying, which is something else a parent should be able to intervene with.
3.) The parent needs to buy the fucking game. A true parent would realize what game they are playing, and even when I was a little kid if my parents thought I would be enticed to violence from games, they would have known that everytime they saw me playing a game it was paused, because it was GTA 3.
