Star Wars: The Force Unleashed receiving 'Ultimate Sith Edition,' new missions

Sep 1st 2009 8:45PM (Joystiq)
Afford? Sure I can afford a new game. But I'm a college kid, I like my cash, and I don't wanna dish out $60 for a game I already have with the first DLC. Rent it, save it, return it. There's no need to keep it when you can rent it for less. $5 rental that stays forever (or as long as my HD lasts) or $60 down for a game I already have. I vote more cash in hand. Feel free to stick your $60 dollars in cash in George Lucas' hands, and while you're in the giving mood, feel free to leave me any leftover bling you don't use anymore. Me? I can go buy something I actually need. Sorry, the entire world isn't rich, and even if we can afford something, it doesn't make us any smarter. No offense!* Enjoy your game :)

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed receiving 'Ultimate Sith Edition,' new missions

Oh, PS- XBox users: I just realized that you can save this game to your HD. Just rent it, save it, return it. It's practically DLC. Thank you MS for actually doing something helpfulish.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed receiving 'Ultimate Sith Edition,' new missions

So when I was a little kid, I played the original X-Wing, thought it was awesome. I picked up a few games on the way, from Dark Forces 2 to XWA. They come up with more games, and since I was young, I always bought 'em off the cheaper rack when I saw 'em (the $10 games at Target/Wal Mart) and they were pretty good. Played Jedi Outcast, not bad. Bought Starfighter, it started to worry me (granted, I was young and didn't know it just couldn't match the X-Wing games at all). I get Jedi Academy, right after it comes out, and I find myself utterly disappointed for the first time. Eventually they throw in some Battlefront, twice, and RC and KotOR. Not bad LA, not bad. Sequels to BFII? PSP. Good job, retards. By now I own an Xbox. I continue to watch as LA continues to not listen to their customers, all the while starting to play Halo 2. Then 3. Then I start to realize something:

Lucasarts wants my money, because I am a Star Wars fanboy. They know I'll pay, but they don't pay a lick of attention to what I want in a game. TFU? Not bad. Rehashing it without DLC? Bullshit. Thanks LA.

Bungie, yeah, they want my money, but they keep throwing me a good game. Kids want Lockout in Halo 3? Bungie makes Blackout for DLC. Thumbs up Bungie. Kids want Midship? It's in the new map pack coming out. Oh, the new maps are coming on a disc with all the ones I already have? Bungie, how are you making this worth my time? Oh, you're including it as PART of a NEW GAME? Sold.

What can LA take outta Bungie's book: if you're gonna make us buy DLC we already have, give us a FULL GAME with it. Don't give us ONE BONUS LEVEL that you're too retarded to stick on the Marketplace. I paid my $60 for the first game. I'm not buying one mission for another $60. That's bush league. I've jumped the fence LA. I'm on the Bungie Bandwagon. (I'll still buy your games if you make 'em like you used to).

Joyswag: Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack

The map I am looking most forward to playing on is Orbital, as it was love at first screenshot. I've always been a nerd for things space-related, and of the three Mythic Maps, this one is definitely the most space themed map. I'm also looking forward to showing my prowess for Death From the Graves, getting the achievement probably in the first game I play on this map (two DFTG? pieca cake, been there, done that a lot). Also, I'm just lookin' forward to creeping around this place getting sticks. It looks like a Plasma Grenade heaven, and I do love those little blue balls of joy! (probably too much). This is gonna be awesome! Win or lose, I'll get the chance to play these maps soon enough, and i can't wait!
