Review: Just Cause 2

Mar 23rd 2010 2:03PM (Joystiq)
I felt like that the first time I played, then the second time I tried the demo I found a gigantic armored car with unlimited minigun ammo and a giant cannon, and went on a giant rampage until I found a tiny stunt plane that I few all around getting low-flying bonuses while standing on the roof and then I spotted a helicopter ...

First time I played the demo I tried to play the story; the second time I just played the toy.

Game Informer introduces the minds behind Portal 2

lol Macs don't have games, etc

Also, I'd argue that "PC" covers Macs too -- if it was a "Windows" tag I could see there being an issue.

PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe on UMD in North America this April

As far as I'm concerned, the only advantage to physical copies is that you can pick them up for less than full-price pretty often (discounted or second hand). However, in general I'd rather have a PSP game digitally since I find the UMD drive to be extremely noisy.

GDC: 'Designing Shadow Complex' (or: zig when they zag)

Mar 16th 2010 10:01AM (Joystiq)
Shadow Complex was wonderful. It's one of the few games I've started up again straight after the end of the credits. I'm still chasing the "Minimalist" achievement.

Capy porting Clash of Heroes to PSN and XBLA

I played and loved this on my DS, but it looks so pretty in HD it's tempting to pick it up again.

I just wish Capy would bring Critter Crunch to XBLA or the PSP.

Impressions: Civilization V or 'I Wanna Hex You Up'

The Alpha Centauri rights situation makes me, and probably all other AC fans, very unhappy. I'm sure Sid Meier would love to be able to make AC2.

Since you can move in eight directions in Civ IV, they're actually taking two away not giving you two more. [/pedant]

Also, do want!

Sony's free PhyreEngine expands to PSP

I wonder if this will make it more feasible for Capy to port Critter Crunch to the PSP.

Advance! Protect! Fight! On your PSP! Sideways!

Pinball Fantasies does this too, and probably Pinball Dreams as well.
