Where's the download speed in the referenced PS3 Slim article?

My experience has always been that PSN is slow as can be while XBL is considerably more reasonable when it comes to not only download speed, but time from start to finish.

With my PS3 a 40 MB download takes 2-4X as long as an XBL download and that doesn't even take into account the PS3 has to "install" the file after it's downloaded.

I'd be curious as to engadget's side-by-side comparison on the same connection.

Maybe Sony can take the money they make on 'plus' and make the damn service faster.

Compared to XBL, PSN is molasses.

It takes me 15 minutes to download a 50MB file on PSN and another 8-10 to install it to the HDD.

And I've got a great cable connection, so that isn't the problem.

On my 360, I can download a file the same size in less than half the time and it installs as it downloads so it's a one-time thing.

The only thing I use the PS3 for is console exclusives and blu-ray.

Even Netflix is a pain in the ass compared to the 360.

Edge to the xbox.

Hopefully they'll address the HORRIBLE environment pop-up. Riding on the train was like watching a city get built block by block.
