@ForeverAndEver
Good enough compensation for the outage, not good enough to compensate for our personal information getting into the hands of unscrupulous individuals.

Footage of canceled 'Sonic Extreme' hoverboarding game

May 2nd 2011 12:15PM (Joystiq)
Sonic needs fewer games were he's riding hoverboards, driving cars, or playing tennis, and more games where he does what fans want him to do and only what fans want him to do: run left to right on in a 2D world.

SAE 2011: Rolling with Protean Electric's in-wheel motors

Unsprung weight can be detrimental to handling, and should be minimized. One motor per wheel is great, but it would be better to put that motor inboard.

So many electric vehicle start-ups - which will survive?

Where are the Volts going? Fleets.

$41k is very expensive for a "Chevy", but it's cheap for a luxury car. With the federal tax credit, Tesla Model S will be priced competitively with traditionally-powers cars in its class (e.g. the BMW 5-series). The Volt's price is not competitive with traditionally-powers cars in it's class.

Countdown to Earth Day: How to charge your electric car when you live in an apartment

If you're always battling for some random parking spot on a street, maybe you're better off using a car-sharing program.

In Japan, you have to prove you have a parking spot before you can buy a car. And getting a parking ticket takes a point off your license, like a speeding ticket (so, getting 15 parking tickets in a year means your license is suspended).

And BMW's i3 ("MegaCity").

Oh well, scratch out "Think City EV" and write in "BMW i3", and scratch out "Fisker Nina" and write in "Ford CMax", and the chart looks a lot more believable.

You're also paying for use of amenities that may include a swimming pool, picnic area, internet access, etc.

2013 Dodge Viper coming in late 2012, stability control confirmed

It's probably an oil heater, a necessity for very cold climates.

An EV would never use a wimpy power-tool-style extension cord with a household 3-prong plug! An EV would use an inch-thick 240V cable with a "SAE J1772" connector. The Tesla roadster draws 16 kilowatts when charging - that's enough to run 4 pairs of clothes washers and dryers simultaneously!
