@PN04 hey PN04 - I sympathize with Sony and companies to fight piracy... but why do I as a paying customer have to pay for that Sony doesn't get their act together and make their Memory Stick/cards whatever technology foolproof in the first place.

What will happen? Along comes another Geohotz-Dude and somebody cracks the security on the new format as well... no protection effect for Sony, still I'm paying for expensive memory cards... I don't see the value FOR me as a paying customer.

And shouldn't capitalism also revolve around "the customer is king"?

@PN04 I call it stupidity, I've bought a Memory Stick just for my PSP, now guess how willing I'm to buy another proprietary memory format a 2nd time just to stick it into a Sony handheld.

It's very obvious that Sony wants to subvention their "low" entry price for the hardware, but that's not the best way to do it.

Why not use a standard memory card format, which is much cheaper for the user?

Sony REALLY REALLY wants to you to buy their expensive new memory format cards...

@Unvrfd : yeah I know what they try to do... but funny, everytime my Sony PS3 breaks down, I'm very friendly reminded that I should pay a not to shabby amount of money to Sony for repairing MY property...

So if it wasn't my property in the first place... why do I have to pay for repairs... when it's not actually mine?

Please decide this before making funny statements (that are true) yet silly when you look at it closely.
