Derbeste You still don't get it and probably never will, but Joystiq and other blogs DO USE THEIR BLOGS TO GET TO E3. The vast majority, mabye not joystiq, are there as fanboys.
I hate all of these terms. Why are hard-core gamers so lazy (Wiimote, LOL), or needlessly complex(1337, S0x0RZ). Can't you all just talk like a human. Most hard-core gamers are close enough to being human that they could at least speak like one. You make online gaming a pain in the ass, I don't want to learn a new language just to play an MMO. Every situation (twink, noob) doesn't need to be reduced to one word so you can insult other gamers.
"Damnit. Fanboys aren't doing their work today. *ahem* OMGZ IT IS TEH SUXX SO MUCH BETTER ON SNES THE SUX-BOX IS TEH POO."
The only thing worse than a nonsensical fanboy is people like Geist who make a comment like this in every thread. Someone please give him a negative star. This crap adds no value to any discussion.
It just needs to be said that that is one of the weakest arguments I have ever seen on this site. Hemmy was obviously not trying to get into E3 by posting a comment on Joystiq. He made it pretty clear that many bloggers, with no real influence or ties to the gaming industry, use a minor blog site as a way to get to E3. They are let in even though they add almost nothing to the industry and are there as gamers first, and journalist second.
