Here it is, Call of Duty: World at War debut trailer

Jun 21st 2008 7:37PM (Joystiq Xbox)
WWII is just a setting. As far as I'm concerned, the COD style game-play would work in any point in history where there were guns.

I'm looking forward to what they did with this story because it seems to be going down the "horrors of war" route with the story.

All that being said - I highly doubt they will even come close to matching COD 4 in multiplayer. The weapons just don't allow for it in my opinion. I would prefer to see it as a single player only game (beside co op). But we'll see I guess.

I don't know why there's so much hate on Treyarch. COD3 wasn't a bad game considering they had just one year to complete it. (They have two years for this one by the way) I enjoyed the single player of it more than I did COD2 is some regards. I'll admit it wasn't as polished or balanced as the other games, but it certainly wasn't bad by any sense of the word.

This game looks promising, as it's taking the COD franchise to Japan where they haven't gone before. I'd probably prefer modern combat again, but at least we aren't tooth and nail against the Germans once again. Yeah, other games have done Japan before but other war games don't have the same vibe as the COD series has. And judging from COD3, Treyarch has what it takes to maintain that feeling.

Why the PvP game exists in WoW, and why it's a good thing

Grow up people, it's just an opinion piece.

For those of you who aren't intelligent enough to grasp that concept; it's where another person relays their opinion through some written medium and provides reasons as to why they think that way.

Just because you don't agree doesn't mean it's right, wrong, or that he's gay. It just means you don't agree.

Again, everyone just grow up.

Breakfast Topic: Hacked

Feb 15th 2008 6:07PM (WoW)
I was hacked once but it wasn't so bad. I recovered my password and found that my account was banned. Well that was a pain in the ass to get back. I contacted Blizzard and they said tough luck. So I contacted them again and they opened it with a warning. I have no idea what the guy did to get it banned, but blizzard said something about me exploiting the economy.

So when I did get it back my character was leveled to 60 (this was before Burning Crusade) and he was loaded with gold and had all new gear. I was too lazy to argue about that.

No problems since (knock on wood)

Canada gets Rock Band DLC, waits for actual game

I was at Best Buy today (in Ontario) and there was rock band for sale. People exiting the store with it in their hands, and a few left on the shelves.

Play WoW with your Xbox 360 controller (for some reason)

I gave it a whirl today and it is surprisingly functional. It requires a lot of coordination, but other than that it's pretty good.

Probably wouldn't give you an advantage in a pvp situation but for most pve stuff it does the trick.

Zero Punctuation reviews Halo 3, brace yourselves

Oct 3rd 2007 5:47PM (Joystiq Xbox)
The guy in this review doesn't seem to enjoy any video game. They're either terrible, or mediocre.

Not to mention the fact that the more hype or popularity a game has, he intentionally fits in some insulting comments to the fans of said game. Which makes it obvious that his abundance of negative reviews are nothing but a stunt to gain more attention.

These things are not funny. I am taking Xbox360fanboy out of my rss reader and not coming back because of this.

These are inappropriate for any season.

Chromehounds and the Ring of Death

I think its also funny. My 360 died twice....

I would really love to hear some reasoning from Microsoft as to why they are dying to avoid the problem in the future AND to know exactly what is happening.

My 360 died twice, and I have no idea why! My second 360 was treated like a human, I put a cooling fan under it as well as following every advisory very carefully.
