@Clemalum07 No, I just think it should be, realistically, within the same universe. The original movies were so good! This just cheapens the brand.

@greycobalt So, it seems, the developers of this game have free access to influence the universe in any way they see fit. Star Wars has a huge following, it seems counter productive to do crazy stuff with the franchise. After all, it's a story. Altering and editing the story line seems like abuse of the original IP. I don't think I'm off base when I say that huttball isn't entirely appropriate considering the original story line.

I understand it's lighthearted, I understand it's mini game. But come on. Really? I think it hurts the brand but whatever - it's not my IP. :)

@type2red They should update the game via patches vs release a whole new game. That's what people get pissed about.

@ChainSmoker I'm not commenting on the game, I'm commenting on the abuse of the IP. I have no interest in MMOs. I used to be a fan of the star wars universe though.

If you genuinely think this will "add to the galaxy" I'm sorry, you're wrong. This is Star Wars, not Tron.

I wonder if people actually watched the old star wars movies. I mean, that's what people love - the old movies. This is so phantom menace...

Who cares? This isn't a democracy, this is a tech news website. The guys at Engadget like Apple products, they're the biggest computer company (by $$$) on the planet. I would think that Engadget editors have the right to write whatever the they want, about whatever they want.

If you have a problem with it, go complain to someone who cares. Why anyone would feel that their opinion matters on the latest tech news is beyond me.

The kin one looks good. My little sister has a blackjack and doesn't need 90% of its features - we would definitely get her one of these if it's cheap enough.

This seems like it would be a good platform to ditch the data plan and have the MS make a deal with Verizon about free data to the facebook, twitter and email apps.

Why the fuck would you need to put a disc in to stream content over the internet? Doesn't the PS3 have a hard drive and a wireless internet connection?
