Hopefully this isn't an indicator as to the expected quality of the game. (but it probably is...)

Putting Fruit Ninja in there is a very smart move. Too bad for Child of Eden...

Sony sees modest PS3 growth, dramatic decline in PSP sales in Q2 versus last year

Oct 29th 2010 2:37PM (Joystiq)
@rambo8 One problem is that GT5 is the only one of those games that people will buy a PS3 for, LB2 might pull an Uncharted 2 and do well based on word of mouth, but Resistance and KillZone do really don't have much appeal beyond people who already have a PS3. Twisted Metal is kind of an unknown quality since its been years since that game was good.

The other problem is half of those games were supposed to come out this year for their holiday sales. This isn't going to be great Holiday season for PS3 they don't have any killer exclusives. Move will help, but I don't think it will appeal to people the same way that Kinect will. I think Kinect will do well with the same Non-gamer crowd that bought the Wii.

Move sales around 1.5 million in Europe, 300K estimated for US

Oct 15th 2010 2:55PM (Joystiq)
Ok, I know everyone says they want hardcore games on the Move, but I don't think thats what everyone actually wants.
Let's look at some Wii games. Resident Evil on Wii, while fun, aren't you longing for your Gamecube controller after playing it for 30 mins. The Metroid Prime games on Wii compared to the ones on gamecube, the new scheme was fun but again I liked controlling them on the gamecube better. How many people use the classic controller instead of the Wii Mote for Smash Bros? If Nintendo patched in the ability to use Super Mario Galaxy & Zelda with the classic controller wouldn't you do that in an instant? The games that are more fun to play with the Wii remote are the Wii Sports, the Raving Rabbid series, and some of the *gasp* party games. I have no interest to play CoD or GoW on the Move.
I could care less about hardcore games for Move, I'm more interested in unqiue experiences created specifically around the controller. The tech demos on the Engadget show has me more excited about Move than any game I've seen or played so far.

Kinect Xbox 360 250GB bundle announced

Sep 8th 2010 10:51AM (Joystiq)
I think I'm the only person with an original Xbox 360 from launch, still no problems. I might have to get this since I'd love to get the redesign and I planned on getting Kinnect anyway.
