I see what you are saying, maybe the publishers do set the prices or maybe they don't. but whenever a corporation is allowed to control digital media like this, its a lose-lose for the consumer. I just dont like it. But kudos for a new idea.

Frankly, most people that buy PC games buy them knowing that there are people who pay 0 dollars for a pirated copy. but they still choose the retail game bc of extra features and online functionality.

Also, I think DRM is a waste of time for any company. Look at the great things that have spawned from Open-Source. Linux, Openoffice, etc.

It sounds like Stardock wants to control prices with this. If everyone looked to buy a used "license" then I can see them charging almost as much as full price since they control the central hub for all transactions.
