completely unrelated to gaming, but I get to see MuteMath at the Howling Wolf for a special hometown show (New Orleans) next weekend. I'm ridiculously excited.
Online gaming may be a first amendment right... but just like the real first amendment right, we're seeing that really it isn't as advertised. And obviously as a society we're ok with that, so I don't see the big deal if anyone charges for online gaming services.
I'm sorry, this just sounds terrible. Where I come from, we call this blatant profiteering.
