Final Fantasy XIII's soundtrack, now on vinyl
Feb 6th 2010 5:21PM (Joystiq)CD output doesn't look like stairsteps. CD players use a reconstruction filter to smooth out the sampled signal. So CD's have no trouble representing a 10kHz tone. Vinyl, on the other hand, will always be prone to scratches, warping, and dirt.
