Enslaved launch trailer Monkeys around

This is one of my favorite games - ever. Pure fun. As a girl gamer, it can be hard to find games that has such a perfect combination of gameplay. I actually prefer a game that is a little easier as far as the platform parts of the game go. You can't really jump unless it's the right place to do it, and the places you are to jump to shimmer so there's no doubt, and not much time spent wondering what you are supposed to be doing or where you are supposed to be going. It keeps the game moving and keeps you engaged and involved in the story.

I'm halfway through Chapter 12 (of 14) and there are some more difficult places (on normal difficulty) so it still has some challenges, but not enough to be frustrating. The sound effects and voices are top notch and the graphics are excellent - esp. the character faces and expressions.

Two minor complaints - as great as the faces are, the hair is kind of ridiculously low-detailed. Very minor issue....once in a while, the character gets stuck on a corner or doesn't jump when asked to. This only really matters in the few "race" type scenes. The "cloud"/air board is pretty awesome though.

I really hope they make a sequel to this. I am trying to get through the game so I can resell it, but selling it's gonna hurt. This is one I wouldn't mind playing on all the difficulty levels and I never do that. :)

Apple Store restarts bumper case sales

Because early adopters of the iPhone did not know about the "antenna issue," so the case was to appease them. By this point, everyone should know about the issue, so if you buy it anyway, then it's on you.... is the thinking.

Preview: Dragon Age 2

@Mortegro I agree. I don't even see how they can say this is a Dragon Age sequel. They should have given it a different name.

Sprint's Hero finally gets official Android 2.1 upgrade

May 19th 2010 12:26PM (Engadget)
of COURSE it does....because I just sold mine last week. Oh well...whoever said this was the end of the line as far as updates go for the Hero was correct, so while 2.1 is a lot better than 1.5, at least I won't be stuck with it for years. :-/

Sprint: Samsung Moment and HTC Hero Android 2.1 updates now coming 'in Q2'

@Dubb Sprint is decent depending on where you live. The phone selection seems to be on par with other networks, unless you specifically want an iPhone or a Droid - the rest of the phones aren't really that much different from each other. Sprint's calling plans are cheaper in a lot of cases and I've never had problems with reception, but I do think it varies a lot depending on your area. If you're in a larger city, esp one that has their 4G network, Sprint might be a good bet, but if you aren't, you'd probably want to go with another carrier imo.

Sprint: Samsung Moment and HTC Hero Android 2.1 updates now coming 'in Q2'

I am so tired of HTC and Sprint. When you get down to it, where does the fault like? Is this more because of Sprint or HTC?

In any case, this is unacceptable. Some people might love the Hero or think 1.5 is fine, but I think that's because they've never used a better phone. If I hadn't, I might not notice exactly how much it lags or how many bugs it has. My phone is almost unusable at times, but going into all it's issues belongs in a whole different message thread.

Not getting upgraded to 2.1 might be understandable if 1.5 worked well - and it does NOT. I've been holding out for this update almost since buying the phone. First I was told it would be out by the end of last year, then it was March, then April, then May, and now ???? They are never going to update this phone and I am never going to buy HTC, and probably will never buy an Android phone, again.

New study finds close to one quarter of Xbox 360s fail within two years

Apr 25th 2010 5:35PM (Engadget)
Well, I'm 4/5 so far. Launch day xBox lasted about two years. First refurb unit they sent lasted almost a year. Second refurb, slightly over a year. Third refurb, sounded like it was going to go out so pre-emptively traded it in with a slight loss and got a brand new unit. This (fourth unit) lasted just under two years. Fifth refurb unit arrived about two weeks ago....

PS3 and Wii, no problems, but yeah, they are both played much less often. And the Wii does sound kind of like a hair dryer at the moment and it's had the least amount of use.
