Jun 8th 2009 11:43PM (Joystiq)$20/day sounds pretty damn good to me.. $600/mo for something a student could easily develop.. ppl in the one-quarter stanford course made several hundred dollars off their final projects (~2 wks dev) and they're still selling..
i really think this guy is just trying to deter prospective competition from the lucrative market.

May 10th 2009 5:14PM (Engadget)financial aid is finite. limited. now, every student at missouri's j-school filling out FAFSA will be getting more aid than they actually need, which is less aid to go to those who actually DO need it for tuition and such. it's cheating. by including it as a requirement -- and going so far as to admit they only list it as a requirement so that students get aid for it -- they're openly gaming the system. it's unethical. federal taxpayer dollars are buying missouri kids iphones instead of paying for real students' tuition.

May 9th 2009 8:00PM (Engadget)F "Missouri School of Journalism".. because of their artificially inflated financial need, students that actually *need* the funds at other schools are getting a boned.
federal funds for higher education are limited. every dollar they get that they didn't need is a dollar less that can go to people who need it. i hope they're penalized for trying to get more than their fair share of federal funding (e.g. are given LESS funding).
really pisses me off, and i'm disappointed that engadget didn't mention this (important) angle. stuff like this only gets rectified after media attention. shine the negative spotlight on them.
