Thank god. This is one of the biggest things I had been hoping for a jailbreak tweak for: differentiating SMS and email alerts by vibration. Now I have to choose between waiting for a 4.3 jailbreak and just jumping in to it...

Video is hilarious, also very indicative of iOS 4 on my iPod touch 2G. That being said, I'm downloading the 4.1 beta right now as I hadn't heard until reading this article that it might help performance issues. Will report back after I test it out.

I just thought of the same thing. Couldn't a developer create a method that refreshes, waits for an hour, refreshes, etc.? I'm sure Apple wouldn't like it but I don't know if they'd reject it.

Yeah, that's my question. Since I can only test it using the Simulator, there's no way for me to try running an app that was compiled for 3.0 in iOS 4. But I do know 100% that recompiling in 4.0 with no code changes adds state saving automatically.
