PSP systems being offered to airlines

May 27th 2010 4:48AM (Joystiq)
I was on a UK flight the other week offering this services. Looks like they are offering PSPs, but surely a PSPgo would make better sense?

Apple suddenly approves a bunch of browsers for App Store; major policy shift in progress?

Not sure if a new browser is what the iPhone needs? Not as if I've personally had issues accessing any site; what's more important is Flash support!

Trophies: Fallout 3

Dec 17th 2008 6:15AM (Joystiq Playstation)
Just completed this game, but only did like half the quest. But I can now replay the game and get even more out of it trying to achieve all the trophies... damn shame I'm getting games for xmas!

Sony looking for a way to safely support homebrew

Jul 25th 2007 11:40AM (Joystiq Playstation)
It will be very cool.

There is a market for it for people to create homebrew and distribute it for a cost or as freeware and/or open source.

Though, it's easy to check security (just code check memory flashing); they are more worried about security against the illicit side of homebrewing while keeping the community open.

Jack Thompson at it again, wants Manhunt 2 pulled from UK

It's stupid, it was the kid who got killed owned Manhunt, the one who killed him never played it. The media twisted that story so much.

BBC show tackles 'clapped-out old banger' Xbox 360

Feb 14th 2007 7:00PM (Joystiq)
The BBC is a government commissioned TV networks. If what you are saying is true robby2009, then there is some extremely corrupt going wrong. These guys are doing research and have to be correct in it as TV watch dogs (which are completely apart from the BBC) will come hard on there ass.

Yes, it may of been poorly done by their normal standards. But as witnessed by this comment reel it's self, your numbers don't match up. 98% is a bit abirtary when a signifcantly high percentage of on here alone have had problems with there.

Only two cases out of 10mil owners leads to 98% of others happy that they never had problems? Hmm, there was at least 5 on here that said they also had problems. I'm not bashing MS in any way, I'm just stating that these things happen and what you are saying robby2009 is being plucked from somewhere we rather not see.

I think you kinda have to accept that the 360 has a lot of problems hardware-wise. A lot of people in groups seem to find that somebody has had a serious fault. Not many other system have this group thing (where by one at least says somethings gone wrong). I've had a lot of different console and they normally broke due to long term use (be it 3 years they broke). I've still got a sense which works 100% of the time and a Mega Drive which works 90% of the time; but they didn't use moving parts in their systems which we do today thanks to the media that is disc format.

MS isn't a hardware company, so you have to take in account their machines are not going to be as reliable as Nintendo or Sony which are hardware people. Yes, they all out source which means they do get people with the know how in, but at the same time, this doesn't change a thing (just because you have more people doesn't mean a project goes any faster). They may have made a decent system, I'm not commenting things the software side as I have no real interest in the 360, but what I do think is that they did rush the 360 a bit causing a lot of problems to slip through the net. kinda works in the sense that if they can release so many machine and now they will have so many problems what is the finacial implications; so long as it's not too high, they will go ahead and release the system. Case is, normally, bigger problems are likely to go through as less will occure while minor ones will be sorted quicker as they are more likely.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56-gQq62Hyc That's the segment from the show.

That video you guys have is a bit odd. Seems real enough, just odd the humor that goes with it (really pushing he's a Cockney)

Rockstar reveals Manhunt 2 for the PS2, PSP, and ... Wii

Feb 7th 2007 3:47AM (Joystiq)
Me and my bro where talking about this in the pub last night; the Wii version would be amazing if they did it right.

Imgain, you have a knife in hand and your told to stab the guy in the stomach 5 times. 5 jabs with your Wii controller and he's dead, like using a real knife! Slash him a bit? why not?

If this is how they are gonna do the game then it will be worth buying the Wii just for this!
