I meant PS3 controller, of course.

Man, looking forward to this coming out on PSN. Ironically, I don't even get into the fanboy debate on this it's just... the PSN controller WORKS better for Sonic games in my opinion.

Rumor: Bot farming used to boost App Store ranking, Apple warns of punishment

Feb 7th 2012 11:01AM (Joystiq)
This is blatantly obvious with many of the top apps that are obviously complete crap, but you can see the number of downloads and 5-star ratings are ridiculously high. Look at the comments and you'll see the exact same subjects and content repeated over and over again. Something like:

AMAZING!

Best buy ever, must have app!!

All by people named "somethingbowser23" or some similar gibberish conforming to that format. I've seen it all over the app store.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning review: A tempting fate

Based on the lack of "my game is locking up" (so far, anyways) for KoA? I may buy it and play it in place of Skyrim on my PS3.

Sadly things seem to be going the opposite way, with consoles replacing PC's in many aspects. Most PC games are ports of the console versions anymore, and from my experience recently the more popular and mainstream they are, the less likely the PC port is going to be good. It makes it more and more difficult to find GOOD PC games. Most of my Steam purchases have been older games that came out far before their console counterparts or indie games that work really well on a PC. I don't mind hooking my Xbox controller up for a 2D side-scrolling game like Super Meat Boy, but I really hate feeling like I'm forced to use it for FPS because of the lack of key binding options and the design choices like it was with Borderlands.

Activision OK's XBLIG; you probably haven't heard of it, it's pretty underground [Update]

I thought "indie" was a shortened version of the word "independent". In the recording industry, it meant you didn't sign on with a big label in order to get your music published. I guess with games it just means you developed it on a tight budget? I woudln't consider this to be an indie game at all if Activision is publishing it.

Rumor: Microsoft phasing out Microsoft Points

Jan 24th 2012 2:16PM (Joystiq)
I'm betting it's true because they said "We do not comment on rumor or speculation." Usually, if it's not true, they say "No, we are not doing that." If it is true, they say "We do not comment on rumor or speculation."

Microsoft hiring for 'LEAP' and 'Platform Next' game studios

"the people that developed Kinect and profoundly changed the way people interact with technology"?

Sooo... the guys that copied a few pieces of technology that already existed, made some modifications, then tried to pass it off as the NEXT BIG THING? That thing that has yet to offer a single use that I desire? M'kay, I think I'm qualified. I'd just sit there and shout things like "Take a giraffe, put a basketball hoop on its neck, and make people try to slam dunk!"

Retailers: Inversion delayed until March

Wow, how have I not noticed this game before now? This looks pretty sweet. Like a cross between Gears of War, Bulletstorm, and maybe even some Dead Space (based on the skull-stomping I saw in the trailer from August) but with some interesting twists and additions. Looks like it could be a hell of a lot of fun to play.
