Report: Marvel vs Capcom 3 cheekily punishes rage quitters
Jan 13th 2011 3:47AM (Joystiq)Oh wow. You're right man. It is like domestic abuse. It's just so sad.

Jan 13th 2011 3:43AM (Joystiq)See, that's just SSIV's bad call for just not making a drop out, whether rage quit or otherwise, simply a loss. Surprising that's not a given.

Jan 13th 2011 3:35AM (Joystiq)Had I seen this comment, I wouldn't have bothered with mine right after yours. EVERYONE gets pissed in DOTA at rage quit, but otherwise, the game just ended.
Report: Marvel vs Capcom 3 cheekily punishes rage quitters
Jan 13th 2011 3:33AM (Joystiq)But in a fighting game like this it's almost worthless to rage quit as the moment you drop your guard the game will be over before you can even navigate the menus to quit anyway.
Actual team games like shooters or DOTA-like games is where the real pain in the a-- of rage quitting comes in. One v one games like RTS's, a "rage quit" could simply be considered a resign, like in chess. In fact, its in bad taste to draw out on obviously lost game.
Valve announces Dota 2, coming to the PC and Mac in 2011
Oct 13th 2010 5:38PM (Joystiq)Oh, ok. I see. Apparently, what Joystiq fails to mention is that not only has Valve tm'd Dota (which previously belonged to no one), but they've also taken along with them the actual Dota designers, Icefrog (current moderator, not creator), to do the game.
Nice coverage Joystiq. That was confusing.

Oct 13th 2010 4:51PM (Joystiq)And secondly, if Valve did just swoop up someone else's work, where's Blizzard in all this?
If DotA is so popular wouldn't they feel some entitlement to a potential hit they can call their own instead of Valve. I swear there would have been more drama for something like this.

Konami's classic X-Men arcade game coming to PSN and XBLA
Oct 9th 2010 3:13PM (Joystiq)This one, like a lot of the beat em ups in this gen is totally about the art, which still rocks.
Example: which X-Men cast do you prefer, this on or Bryan Singer's?
