Battlefield 3 stops by 'Paris, Tehran and New York,' down to 24 players on console
Feb 7th 2011 5:27PM (Joystiq)Yes, I am an Adult. But I find that I have limited funds and so I must be more picky with what games I buy. I can't afford to buy a shitty game for no other reason to say whether it sucks or not. Your mommy might buy you all your games but I have a house payment, 2 car payments, and other bills that add up way past $3000 a month.
Yes player count, counts when it comes to my money. Especially for a MP game such as BF is. The single player campaign (in any BF game) isn't worth $60 only there MP is worth it. And if its a step back (I will wait for official confirmation), then I won't waste my money. The only reason I started play BF was for player count and large worlds, going the other direction is a reason to leave the game. FOR ME AT LEAST.

Feb 7th 2011 4:39PM (Joystiq)I just feel this (reducing player count) is a step back for MP games. Less players mean smaller maps. Something BF was on the frontlines of. Now, they are taking a step back from their original release. They touted being the biggest and best blah blah blah. The large worlds and large player count is what brought me to the BF games. I personally don't like small player count FPS. COD comes to mind. Everyone loves this game and I can't stand it because of the low player count and small maps. Not including single player campaign that took me only a few hours to beat, the first day I bought it.

Feb 7th 2011 4:32PM (Joystiq)No, not directly. It was implied. But regardless.

Feb 7th 2011 3:59PM (Joystiq)If you don't like my opinion, thats fine but keep yours to yourself. We already both know I wouldn't nor anyone else talking about the lack of players. People are use to getting MORE from games not less.

Feb 7th 2011 3:35PM (Joystiq)No difference? I think its a major difference. 77 versus 230 Gflops.
Xbox 360
3.2 GHz Xenon processor
3 dual-threaded cores
Maximum 77 GFlops
PS3
3.2 GHz Cell processor
7 single-threaded cores (plus 1 backup core)
Maximum 230 GFlops

Feb 7th 2011 3:27PM (Joystiq)Yes very sad that I got too good on PC and needed a handicap of some sort.

Feb 7th 2011 3:13PM (Joystiq)Thank you. My belief exactly. 24? Really? So sad. I was all about buying yet another BF game. But 24 players for console is "so, last century" thinking, that I doubt the game is going to be worth my $60.
