Unleash your imagination in an organized way with Nevigo's game-narrative tool

Oct 24th 2011 4:00AM (Joystiq)
@ch3burashka
I looked up the product on their website and they don't mention any of the useful innovations in the video. I think the big things are the multi-user collaboration, the subversioning, and the ability to export assets as xml.

This basically seems like it's designed for KOTOR or Mass Effect or something. I'm a little worried that using this tool would stifle creativity and cause developers to not innovate or push the boundaries of interactivity.

Schafer: Comedy games need a big hit before publishers will approve

Anyone remember A Bard's Tale for PS2? That gameplay was a pretty average hack and slash but it was honestly one of the funniest games I've ever played. Completely mocked and played with the tropes of RPGs while still be a fun play.

See, I use my console for this thing called "playing video games". If I gave a shit about any of these features, I would have bought an xbox.

I just got back from Japan and they have this guy everywhere.

Some people think it offensively stereotypes foreigners and white people:

Bethesda on DLC: Keep it small, 'digestible'

Apr 11th 2009 5:58AM (Joystiq)
Mmm, I'm not sure about your second line. I guess "everywhere" could be stretched out to 4 syllables to make it work but I think it's more naturally pronounced as just 3.

Bethesda on DLC: Keep it small, 'digestible'

Apr 11th 2009 5:21AM (Joystiq)
As long as the DLC actually adds something unique and meaningful to the game, I actually quite like small, digestible add-ons. For instance, I was pretty disappointed with Operation Anchorage because it really only gave you the Winterized Power Armor which was just a crappier version of the power armor you could find in the regular game but I liked The Pitt because the ammo refinery was a neat new feature.

The bottom line is as long as the DLC adds a few hours to the gameplay and incorporates something new that makes it worth it, I like it.

Always pick up everything. I still have my damaged hubcap from Day of the Tentacle and am eagerly waiting some use for it. :)
