@MaceStation exactly. Not to make this a fanboy discussion, but it's obvious that the PC will remain their lead platform and for Portal there couldn't be anything better than mouse and keyboard. I think what he might have meant, is that playstation is supporting more of their advanced network requirements. Allowing access to cloud services, and possibly a more robust patching environment.
Valve and Microsoft don't have the same business plan when it comes to content patches.
@Ignatius Sounds to me like they're doing it for gameplay reasons. All the development work seems to be there, as they're keeping archeology for lore/cosmetic bonuses. I just don't think it would have been ideal to base skills that would be required by raiders into a mandatory grind.
Basically they're taking those key abilities and rolling them into glyphs.
Molyneux: "I was really disappointed in you lot. I expected more of you to be evil. Seventy percent were pure goody goodies, and only 5 percent managed to play all the way through the game as evil. So this time, I'm going to make it really, really tough being good."
My numbers were pretty close, you clearly were in the minority 5%
When will developers get tired of the parallel train tracks of good vs evil. It's an artificial extension of the game, making people believe that they'll honestly have a completely different experience if they run through it again and make different choices. But designers know that 80% of people finish the game on good only so it's not worth any real investment in anything but swapping character models and shaders.
The process hasn't changed since Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 back in 1998. Which handled your choices with more elegance than this PoS.
